    With the maximum of five handsets registered to the base station, your Synergy 2150 lets you use all of them together. One handset can be making an external call while the other four handsets are being used to make separate internal calls.

    Setting up Follow these steps to set up your Synergy 2150 ready for use. Plan the location of your Synergy 2150 Your Synergy 2150 works by sending and receiving radio signals between the base station and the handset. The strength of the signal can depend on where you site the base station.
  • Page 16 Charge the handset battery for at least 16 hours Before you use your Synergy 2150 for the first time, it is important to have the handset battery fully charged. We recommend that you leave the Synergy 2150 on charge for at least 16 hours.
  • Page 17 Connect the telephone line cord If you do not have modern phone sockets, call Freefone 0800 800 150 and ask for a BT engineer to come and fit the correct type. This is a chargeable service. Your Synergy is now ready for use.

    Remote access You can switch on and operate your answering machine from any other TouchTone telephone to play your messages and memos. To keep your messages private, you will need to enter your 4-digit security PIN code before you can access your messages.

  • Page 43 To set the handset priority If you are using more than one handset on your base station, you can select one handset to ring before all the others. You can then set the number of rings it will make before the other handsets start ringing.
  • Page 44 To set call barring You can bar calls with up to five different prefixes, making it impossible to dial out if a telephone number is preceded by one of these prefixes. This could be an international dialling code or a premium rate service. You can also specify individual handsets on which you want to set call barring.

    Connecting to a switchboard When connecting your Synergy 2150 to a switchboard/PBX, you may need to change the dialling mode from TONE to PULSE. To change the dialling mode The dialling mode is set to TONE when the product is supplied.
