INSTALLING THE VANISHING EDGE

NOTE:
If you are installing a garbage disposer (not supplied), do not install the strainer.
Please contact us to obtain a garbage disposer adaptor that will replace the
flange from your garbage disposer. Install the garbage disposer according to the
manufacturer's installation instructions replacing the flange for the adaptor.
- Apply a small amount of plumbing putty or silicone (not supplied) all
around the lip of drain hole of the sink (A) .
- Slip the strainer ring (4) onto the upper strainer body (3) such that it
rests against the lip .
- Press upper strainer body (3) with strainer ring seal (4) into the
sealant by hand until evenly seated . Remove excess sealant .
- Remove any major surface irregularities from around the bottom of
the drain hole .
- Fill both grooves of the strainer gasket (5) with silicone sealant (not
supplied) .
- Push the strainer gasket (5) with the groves against the bottom of
the sink such that it is evenly seated .
- Put a small bead of silicone around the flange of the lower strainer
body (6) .
- Press the lower strainer (6) body into the strainer gasket (5) and
secure components with the strainer screw (2) .
- Tighten the strainer screw (2) until all gaps are eliminated and all
the components are tightly seated flat against each other. Make
sure lower strainer body (6) is centered and seated flat against the
strainer gasket (5) .
- Wipe off excess sealant and allow it to cure as suggested by the
sealant manufacturer before connecting your plumbing .
- Insert the plastic flange (7) into the tail pipe (8), and secure them to
the lower strainer body (6) using the connecting nut (9) as indicated
by the manufacturer .
- Repeat these instructions for second strainer .
NOTE:
The plastic flange (7), tail pipe (8), and connecting nut (9) are not supplied.
