Templates

A template box stores user-defined message templates.
Each message in Inbox and Outbox can be stored as a template. The name of the template and the
text can be edited later.
4.3.7.1

Sending User-Defined Templates

Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the Menu key.
2 Select Messages→Templates.
3 Highlight the required template name and press Send.
4 Perform one of the following actions:
If...
If you want to send the message to a
talkgroup,
If you want to send the message to an
address in your contact list,
If you want to send the message to a
contact or talkgroup that is not config-
ured in the radio,

Managing User-Defined Templates

Procedure:
1 From the home screen, press the Menu key.
2 Select Messages→Templates.
3 Highlight the required template and press Menu.
4 Select one of the following options:
If...
If you want to view the template,
If you want to delete the template,
If you want to edit the template,

Then...
select the required talkgroup from the Talk-
Group List.
perform the following actions:
a Press abc.
b Select the name of the recipient.
perform the following actions:
a Enter the contact number.
b Press Send.
Then...
select View.
select Delete.
perform the following actions:
a Select Edit Text.
b Edit the text.
c Depending on the requirement, press the
Menu key and do one of the following:
