General safety

WARNING! Failure to obey these
warnings could result in death or
serious injury.
Electrocution hazard
• Do not operate the heater if it is visibly dam-
aged.
• Do not touch exposed cables with your bare
hands.

• If the heater's power cable is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent
or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent
safety hazards.
• The heater may only be repaired by qualified
personnel. Inadequate repairs may cause seri-
ous hazards.
• Do not use the heater outdoors or on wet sur-
faces.
• Do not use the heater in the immediate sur-
roundings of a bath, a shower or swimming
pool.
• Do not expose the heater to rain or moisture.
• Do not open the heater.
Fire hazard
• Do not use the heater in locations where explo-
sive or flammable products are stored (paint,
fuel, alcohol, etc.).
• Keep a safety distance of at least 75 cm to any
overhanging surfaces.
• Keep a safety distance of at least 90 cm in all
directions from the heater to combustible mate-
rials such as drapes and other furniture.
• Do not use the heater on deep pile carpets or
other combustible materials.
• Do not use the heater on soft surfaces such as a
mattress.
• Do not use the heater to dry laundry.

Risk of injury
• This heater can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the heater in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
• Some parts of this heater can become very hot
and cause burns. Do not let bare skin touch hot
surfaces.
• Do not allow children to play around the heater.
• Cleaning and user maintenance may not be car-
ried out by unsupervised children.
