eCall
Data collected by the eCall system is shared
only with the 112 emergency centre when a
connection is made.
Data collected by the system is:
Temporarily stored in the system
memory, but it is not available outside of
the system before an eCall is triggered.
Not traceable and not subject to constant
tracking during normal system operation.
Stored in the system's memory but is
automatically and continuously deleted.
Vehicle location data is continuously
overwritten and limited to the last three
locations for normal operation of the
system.
The system activity log is kept for the
duration of the emergency call, or a
maximum of 13 hours after the call was
initiated.
The data subject, or vehicle owner, has the
right to access the data and as appropriate,
to request the rectification, erasure or
blocking of personal data when processing
of the data does not comply with local
regulations. Any third parties who received
the data must be notified of any
rectification, erasure, or blocking done to
comply with local regulations unless it
proves impossible or involves a
disproportionate effort.
The data subject, or vehicle owner, has the
right to complain to the competent data
protection authority if he or she feels that
his or her rights have been infringed as a
result of the processing of his or her
personal data.
