Faults, causes and remedies

Faults and malfunctions occurring during the warranty period and requiring repair work on
the geared motor must be remedied only by Technical Support. In the case of faults and
malfunctions occurring after the warranty period, the cause of which cannot be precisely
identified, we advise our customers to contact our Technical Support.
If you need the help of our Technical Support, please provide the following information:
• Data on the rating plate
• Nature and extent of the fault
• Suspected cause.

Too much grease in bearing

Remedy
Remove the excess grease
Replace bearing
Reduce belt tension
Align the motor precisely, correct the
coupling
Adjust the cooling air to the right tem-
perature
Check for bearing currents
Lubricate as prescribed by the manu-
facturer
Check the motor type of construction
Lubricate as prescribed by the manu-
facturer

Replace bearing, prevent vibration
