Introduction
This Owner's Manual contains a great deal of useful
inform ation. We urge you to read it carefully and fam iliar­
ize yourself with the vehicle before driving.
For your own safety and longer service life of the vehicle,
we urge you to follow the instructions and warnings.
Ignoring them could result in damage to the vehicle or
personal injury.
Y our vehicle may have some or all of the equipm ent des­
cribed. Therefore, you may find explanations of equip­
ment not installed in your vehicle. If you have any ques­
tions about the operation of any equipm ent, your
MERCEDES-BENZ dealer will be glad to dem onstrate the
proper procedures.
Owner's Service and Warranty Policy
The O w ner's Service and W arranty Policy Booklet co n ­
tains detailed inform ation about the warranties covering
your MERCEDES-BENZ, including:

Maintenance
The Maintenance Booklet describes all the necessary
maintenance w ork which should be perform end at regu­
lar intervals.
Always have the Maintenance Booklet with you when you
take the vehicle to a MERCEDES-BENZ dealer fo r ser­
vice. The Service A dvisor will record each service.
Roadside Assistance
A lthough your M ercedes-Benz is built to be as trouble-
free as possible, a Roadside Assistance Program is avail­
able to provide em ergency roadside service after normal
dealer hours and on weekends and holidays in the con­
tiguous United States.
Roadside Assistance is available Monday through Friday
from 5:00 PM to 12:00 M idnight and on Saturday, Sunday
and legal holidays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 M idnight. In the
event of a breakdown during these hours, telephone this
toll-free num ber: 1-800-222-0100.
