enough to accept the spindle length.
Do not use cutting off w heel for side grinding.

PRACTICAL GRINDER APPLICATION

1. Grinding Pressure
Do not apply the depressed center w heel strongly
to the grinding surface. The grinder m akes use of
electronic cricuit, so during application of load rotates
at high speed, so am ple grinding effect can be
obtained by applying light pressure. If a strong
grinding pressure or other abnorm al load is applied,
the overload protection circuit w ill operate and m ake
the grinder stop rotating, so please stop applying
load im m ediately. Follow ing this, sw itching the
power OFF and then ON again, will cause the rotation
to increase to the regular speed.
2. Grinding angle
Do not apply the entire surface of the depressed
center w heel to the m aterial to be ground. As
show n in Fig. 3, the m achine should be held at an
angle of 15° – 30° so that the external edge of the
depressed center w heel contacts the m aterial at an
optim um angle.
3. To prevent a new depressed center w heel from
digging into the w orkpiece, initial grinding should
be perform ed by draw ing the grinder across the
w orkpiece tow ard the operator (Fig. 3 direction B).
Once the leading edge of the depressed center
w heel is properly abraded, grinding m ay be
conducted in either direction.
4. Sw itch operation
[When the sw itch has locking m echanism ]
Sw itch ON: To sw itch on, slide the lock lever in
the direction of A and press the paddle
lever in the direction of B as show n
in Fig. 4-a.

Furtherm ore, slide the lock lever in the
direction of C show n in Fig. 4-b w hile
pressing the paddle lever to lock and
enable continuous operation.
Sw itch OFF: To release the locking m ode, press the
paddle lever in the direction of B
show n in Fig. 4-a, and release the
paddle lever to sw itch off.
[When the sw itch has no locking m echanism ]
To sw itch on, slide the lock lever in the direction
of A and press the paddle lever in the direction
of B as show n in Fig. 4-a. Release the paddle lever
to sw itch off.
NOTE: The paddle lever can not be locked.
5. Precautions immediately after finishing operation

sw itched off.
After sw itching off the m achine, do not put it dow n
until the depressed center w heel has com e to a
co m p l et e st o p . A p ar t f r o m av o i d i n g ser i o u s
accidents, this precaution w ill reduce the am ount
of dust and sw arf sucked into the m achine.
CAUTIONS
Check that the w ork piece is properly supported.
Ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear w hen
w orking in dusty conditions.
If it should becom e necessary to clear dust, first
disconnect the tool from the m ains supply (use non-
m etallic objects) and avoid dam aging internal parts.
Ensure that sparks resulting from use do not create
a hazard e.g. do not hit persons, or ignite flam m able
substances.
Alw ays use protective safety glasses and hearing
protectors, use other personal protective equipm ent
