PRECAUTIONS ON USING DISC GRINDER

1. Never operate these pow er tools w ithout Wheel
Guards.
2. Check that speed m arked on the w heel is equal to
or greater than the rated speed of the grinder.
Use only depressed center w heels rated at 80m /s
or m ore.
3. Alw ays hold the body handle and side handle of
the pow er tool firm ly. Otherw ise the counterforce
produced m ay result in inaccurate and even
dangerous operation.

APPLICATIONS
Rem oval of casting fin and finishing of various types
of steel, bronze and alum inum m aterials and castings.
Grinding of w elded sections or sections cut by
m eans of a cutting torch.
Grinding of synthetic resins, slate, brick, m arble, etc.
Cutting of synthetic concrete, stone, brick, m arble,
and sim ilar m aterials.
PRIOR TO OPERATION
1. Pow er source
Ensure that the pow er source to be utilized conform s
to the pow er requirem ents specified on the product
nam eplate.
CAUTION:
Do not operate on Direct Current pow er source.
4. Never depress the push button w hile the spinble
is turning.
5. Do not w ork near w elding equipm ent!
If you w ork near w elding equipm ent, rotation m ay
becom e unstable.
6. Overload protection circuit operation.
If an overload or abnorm al load is applied, the
overload protection circuit operates and stops
rotation, so please im m ediately stop applying load.
Follow ing this, sw itching the pow er OFF and then
ON again, w ill cause the rotation to increase to the
regular speed.

2. Pow er sw itch
Ensure that the pow er sw itch is in the OFF position.
If the plug is connected to a receptacle w hile the
pow er sw itch is in the ON position, the pow er tool
w ill start operating im m ediately, w hich could cause
a serious accident.
3. Extension cord
When the w ork area is rem oved from the pow er
source, use an extension cord of sufficient thickness
and rated capacity. The extension cord should be
kept as short as practicable.
4. Fitting and adjusting the w heel guard
The w heel guard is a protective device to prevent
injury should the depressed center w heel shatter
during operation. Ensure that the guard is properly
fitted and fastened before com m encing grinding
operation.

By slightly loosening the setting screw , the w heel
guard can be turned and set at any desired angle
for m axim um operational effectiveness. Ensure that
the setting screw is thoroughly tightened after
adjusting the w heel guard.

Set the w heel ass'y to the packing gland.
Tighten M 5 screw to secure the w heel guard w hile
the lever is in closed poosition.
Perform the adjustm ent of the w heel guard w hile the
adjustm ent of the w heel guard w hile the lever is
released. (Loosen M 5 screw and readjust if the w heel
guard does not rotate sm oothly.)
After adjustm ent, if m achine operation is required,
perform the operation only after setting the lever in
closed position.
Lubricate the sliding section of the set piece (B) and
the lever if the lever does not m ove sm oothly.
