Cable-Activated Platform Manual Release System
A cable-activated manual re-
lease system engages the
platform carriage assembly
drive chain. Disengaging the
drive chain allows the platform
to be manually extended (out)
or retracted (in). A T-handle is
provided for activation of the
manual release.
After manually moving the
platform in or out, the manual
release must be positively re-
engaged to lock the platform.
Push the T-handle in fully and
ensure platform is locked.
Grasp the outer barrier and
move the platform in and out
until the platform locks. You
will feel the release mechanism
engage.

Ensure the platform is locked
before driving lift vehicle. Failure
to lock the platform carriage as-
sembly will allow the platform to
roll in or out of housing unhin-
dered during vehicle movement.
Uncontrolled and unintentional
platform deployment (inadvertent
platform ejection) may result in
serious bodily injury and/or prop-
erty damage.
Note: If not locked, the platform
could also move in or out during
hand pump raising and lowering
procedures.
Note: Push the lift platform fully
into the lift housing before resum-
ing powered operation. Doing so
provides proper switch activation.
