Print Head Cleaning starts when the P P OWER lamp starts blinking.
(5) When the confirmation message is displayed, click O O K.
(6) Read the message and click P P rint Check Pattern to print the nozzle check pattern.
The nozzle check pattern is printed.

Check the Print Head condition with the printed nozzle check pattern.

The P P rint Head Cleaning dialog box of step 3-(3) is directly displayed when you
click C C leaning on the P P attern Check dialog box.

Ensure that the printer is on.

Do not perform any other operations until the P P rint Head Cleaning
finishes. This takes about 30 to 40 seconds.
When cleaning the print head of black ink tanks (for iP4000):
select B B lack to clean the Print Head of Black (BCI-3eBK), C C olor to
clean the Print Head of Black (BCI-6BK).
Clicking I I nitial Check Items displays the items to be checked
before cleaning.
The nozzle check pattern will not be printed correctly if there is not
enough ink. Replace the ink tank if the remaining amount of ink is
insufficient.

If the problem remains after performing P P rint Head Cleaning three
times, try P P rint Head Deep Cleaning.

(3) Select the ink group to be
cleaned.
