Using Simple Mode

Place the document face-down on the platen glass or load it
face-up in the ADF.

In [Select Document Type], select the document type.
[Photo (Color)]
[Magazine (Color)]To scan color magazines (150dpi, with the Descreen function).
[Newspaper (B &

NOTE
If you select a document type other than [Newspaper (B & W)], there will be automatic
color correction. To turn off automatic color correction, in Advanced Mode, click
[Preferences...]

Setting Preferences and Scanning with ScanGear MF
To scan color photos (300dpi).
To scan text and line drawings (black and white, 300dpi).
To scan color image or text in monochrome. Especially appropriate,
for scanning high-resolution monochrome image (300dpi).
To scan color document (300 dpi) on the ADF.
To scan Grayscale document (300 dpi) on the ADF.
[Color Settings] tab
clear [Always Execute the Auto Tone].
