Crosshairs identify your current position. When you come up to a turn or other maneuver, you will hear a voice command at the appropriate time. Enter the name of the town/city you are looking for (at least three characters). Switch between letter and number mode by pressing 123 or ABC. When you change to the arrow mode, the navigation screen will not show the map but only an arrow indicating the upcoming maneuver.
