3. Specifi ed Conditions
of Use
The BM 500 air drill is a
handy pneumatic tool. It
has a selector (no. 4) for
switching between forward
and reverse operation and
can be used for drilling in
plastic, wood, metal and
similar materials in handi-
work, industrial, agricultu-
ral and automotive appli-
cations. Drill bit changing
is a snap with the quick-
change chuck (no. 2).
4. Safety Instructions
Take appropriate precauti-
ons to protect yourself and
the environment from the
danger of accidents.
● Do not use the air drill
for anything other than
its intended purpose.
● Do not touch rotating
parts.
● Keep pneumatic tools
out of the reach of child-
ren!
● Be alert. Know what you
are doing. Set out to
work with reason.
● Connect the compressed
air by means of a quick
coupler only.

● The working pressure
must be set via a pres-
sure regulator.
● Do not use oxygen or an
inflammable gas as an
energy source.
● Disconnect the tool from
the compressed air sour-
ce prior to troubleshoo-
ting or maintenance.
● Never run the drill with
no load at full no-load
speed.
● Wear protective clo-
thing, especially hearing
protecting and safety
glasses.
