All adjustment controls not mentioned in this description are pre-set at the factory and must not be re-adjusted in the case of repairs.
1. Chassis Board
Measuring instruments: Dual-channel oscilloscope, 10:1 test probe, digital voltmeter, colour video generator.
Service works after replacement or repair of the following modules:
- Chassis: alignment 1.1
- Tuner, IF amplifier: alignment 1.2, 1.3, 1.4.1 or 1.4.2
- IC80070: alignment 1.5 ...1.10
- horizontal and field deflection: alignment 1.11...1.13 and 2.2
- IC87020: alignment 1.10...1.13
Alignment
1.1 +A voltage
These voltages must strictly be checked and re-adjusted
+B voltage
if necessary after every repair and before every
+F voltage
alignment.
+H voltage
+N voltage
Brightness: Minimum
1.2 Tuner AGC
Feed in a standard test pattern at channel 60 (UHF); RF =1.5mV
(64dBµV). PIP receivers with two tuners without antenna splitter.
Voltmeter: tuner contact 2.
1.3 AFC Reference
Tune to a station in band I (channel 2...4) with standardized
channel spacing and without fine tuning.
With button " " call up the "AFC reference" menu via
DIALOGCENTER –> "OK" –> "SERVICE" –> "OK" –> "Only
for the retailer" –> "OK" –> Code Number "8500" –> (menu guide).
1.4.1 PLL demodu-
- Feed in a standard test pattern with standardized

1.6 White balance
Feed in a grey scale black/white test pattern with burst.
Set white balance to mid-position.
Contrast ( ) to maximum.
Colour contrast ( ) to mid-position.
Screen brightness ( ) to mid-position.
Switch off "Perfect Clear".

Feed in the transmitter and AV picture.

Alignment Process
With R61313 acc. to the table on power supply chassis pcb.
With R61031 set 12V on contact 36 of the Feature Box.
With R61041 set 5V on contact 9/10 of the Feature Box.
With R61001 set 5V on contact 8 of the Feature Box.
With R61051 set 5V on contact 32/33 of the Feature Box.

Set 3.3V
0.1V with R32033 (Signal Module).
On activation of AFC Reference a rectified IF-voltage from
the AFC output of IC32010 is measured at the multipoint
connector,contact 5, of the signal module which is used on
station search or for VCR-RF playback (station identification
"AV") as a comparative value to readjust the modulator
drift (typ. 127±10). Activate with "OK".
Set 2.5V with FI32043 on the signal module.
Set 2.5V with R32057 on the signal module.
In RGB operation it is possible to set the RGB level to "Half
level" or "Full level" with the buttons
tearing in this mode and to adjust the display intensity. The
setting is stored when terminating the menu.
With the
buttons set the values for VG and VB so that
the picture becomes achromatic.
Store with "OK".
The "?" key, default values, is used to call up the last stored
white value.
With the
buttons set P55, T70/16:9, T82/16:9, T63,
P63, P63 BLS, T72, P72, T82, T95, P70
(T = Toshiba tube, P = Philips tube).
The selected type is stored when terminating the menu.
With the
buttons switch the velocity modulation on or
off.
With the
buttons select A1 or B1.
This definition depends on CIC1360 in the Feature Box.
On selection of the wrong setting, the colours are not
correct when switching the TV set on again.
Change the PIP position with the
and store with "OK".
