Preparing the unit (RTX1000/2000 only)

NOTICE!
When preparing the unit on the work surface, make sure it is secured against
falling off.
Make sure that the work surface is clean and level to ensure that the unit is not
damaged.
Proceed as follows (fig. 9):
➤ Place the parking cooler on a work surface with the casing facing down.
➤ Screw in the 12 self-threading M6 thread inserts in the corresponding blind
holes as shown.
To do so, use a 5 mm hexagon bit.
➤ Screw in the 22 self-threading M8 thread inserts in the corresponding blind
holes as shown.
To do so, use the 1/4" bit supplied.

Mounting the adapter frame

NOTICE!
Ensure that the surface where the seal between the unit and the adapter frame
is to be glued is clean (free of dust, oil, etc.).
➤ Apply a flexible, non-hardening butyl sealant (e.g. SikaLastomer-710) to the
circumferential groove in the adapter frame (fig. 0).
➤ Mount the adapter frame as shown (fig. a).

Attaching the seal to the adapter frame

➤ Glue the sealing strip into the adapter frame (fig. b A).
Follow the contour of the adapter frame.
➤ Apply a flexible, non-hardening butyl sealant (e.g. SikaLastomer-710) to the
join between the ends of the sealing strip and to the top edge of the sealing
strip (fig. b B).
