7. Refer to the
8. Insert Electronics Module in to the MDU housing as shown.
9. Secure the Electronics Module to the MDU housing using the hardware provided.
If the MDU is equipped with an OptiTap Connector, refer to
complete the following steps:
1. Unscrew the Jam Nut from the end of the OptiTap Connector.
2. Remove the rubber grommet mounting bracket from the inside of the MDU housing.
NOTE
The rubber grommet and housing must be removed to accomodate the
diameter of the OptiTap Connector.
3. Insert the OptiTap Cable through the port on the far right of the base of the MDU.
4. Replace the Jam Nut on the OptiTap Cable and tighten to 35 inch pounds.

a. The Electronics Module is supplied with a 7-conductor Power/Alarm connector.
Remove the connector by pulling it out of the Electronics Module.
b. Loosen all the screws on the Power Alarm Connector.
c. Insert one wire at a time and tighten the screws to make an electrical contact.
d. Re-install the connector in the Electronics Module.
Figure 5-10
and attach the Power Alarm Connector (P2) to the applicable jack
(J1–J4) on the printed circuit board mounted on the inside rear of the ONT housing.
Note: POTS and Ethernet
cables removed for clarity.
