- Ne pas faire passer le cordon sous un tapis. Ne pas recouvrir le
cordon d'une carpette, d'un tapis d'escalier ou de corridor, ou d'un
revêtement similaire. Ne pas faire passer le cordon sous un meuble
ou un appareil électrique. Faire passer le cordon à l'écart des zones
passantes, dans un endroit où il ne peut faire trébucher les gens.
Ne pas laisser le cordon pendre du bord d'un plan de travail, ne
pas le pincer dans une porte et ne pas refermer une porte sur lui.
Placer l'appareil près d'une prise facilement accessible pour pouvoir
débrancher rapidement l'appareil en cas d'urgence.
