ACTIONS REQUIRED
1) Wheelpilots in stock at distribution requiring up-grade
Inform our Product Support department of the number of Wheelpilots in stock delivered before
December 2001 with serial numbers.
We will then send you the equivalent number of replacement Kits WPPK 35 F.O.C.
These kits contain all hardware required including detailed instructions.
We will offer 30 minutes labour per pilot for the modification at an hourly rate of £25 or alternatively the
pilots can be returned to Simrad Margate where the modifications will be carried out.
2) Wheelpilots that have been returned to distribution for repair under Warranty
Any Wheelpilots that come in under Warranty for repair should have the belt and clutch mechanism
replaced as instructed in the WPPK 35 Kit.
We will offer 30 minutes labour per pilot for the removal and fitting of the new parts contained in the
WPPK 35 Kit at an hourly rate of £25 or alternatively the pilots can be returned to Simrad Margate where
the modifications will be carried out.
3) Wheelpilots returned to distribution for repair outside Warranty
Customer Wheelpilots returned outside warranty to distribution for repair should have the belt and
Clutch mechanism offered for replacement at a special low price even if the pilot has been returned for
other problems.
The special price to the end user for the up-grade and service that we recommend is £30 including parts
(WPPK35) and labour. It should be stressed that this is a special offer that will not be repeated.
The transfer price to distribution of the Kit WPPK 35 is £10
( Please note that this is under cost price to Simrad Margate and the benefit should be passed on to the
customer)
4) Special service up-grade offer
We recommend that you contact your dealers to let them know that a special off-season service up-grade
is being offered on the WP10 and WP30. The service includes a replacement belt and a new
improved clutch mechanism for better performance.
The special price to the end user for the up-grade and service that we recommend is £30 including parts
(WPPK35) and labour. It should be stressed that this is a special offer that will not be repeated.

5) New Part numbers ( return old stock)
Please note that we have new part numbers for the Wheelpilots.
WPPK 32 [ WPPK 4 ( Belt kit ) is replaced by WPPK
WPPK 33 [ WPPK 13 ( Clutch mechanism ) is replaced by WPPK
mechanism ]
WPPK 34 [New spares pack – Spoke Splines Kit]
WPPK 35 [ The service and up-grade package that contains new belt, clutch, splines and badge with
Instructions ]
Please return to Simrad Margate all WPPK 4 and WPPK 13 kits for replacement. These should not be
used for future servicing of the products.
