Step 6 Connect the Mouse
The American Megatrends Atlas PCI Pentium EISA motherboard has two types of PS-2-type mouse
connectors:

You cannot use both mouse connectors simultaneously.
P1 is a 10-pin berg connector that attaches to a PS/2-compatible mouse via a standard serial cable. P12 is a
six-pin miniDIN socket (see below). P12 accepts a PS/2-compatible mouse. The mouse connectors are next to
the keyboard connector. Attach a customized serial cable from the mouse connector to a DB9 serial port
connector. You can order this cable from the American Megatrends Sales Department (404-263-8181). Ask
for Cable Assembly DB9, Male, 10-Pin, part number CBLSUB1-10. P1 Pin 10 should be cut. The
connector position is shown above. The six-pin miniDIN pinout, P1 (10 pin) pinout and P1 is shown below.
