Electrical voltage and current from power, telephone, and communication cables are hazardous. To avoid a shock hazard: If IBM supplied the power cord(s), connect power to this unit only with the IBM provided power cord. Do not use the IBM provided power cord for any other product.
PDU Description This document is used in conjunction with the IBM Rack and System Install Guide to provide guidance on the installation and setup of the Cloud Pak for Data System PDUs. Both documents can be found in the Safety and Regulatory CD that is shipped with your Cloud Pak for Data System components.
Amperage and wattage of the loads can be found in the install documentation for the individual Cloud Pak for Data System building blocks or in the IBM Site Survey. Verify all information by cross checking with the rating labels located on the equipment in the rack.
Give the electrician a copy of your Power Information Table. IBM installers can also share reference wiring diagrams to clarify your power sizing needs. Note that IBM installers will do the in-rack power and signal cabling once the components and PDUs are racked.
PDU comes with a geographically defined default line cord for standard data center receptacles worldwide. These default cords accommodate 30/32A single phase and are noted in the first column of Table 4 below. Table 4. 3454-FCE: Single phase and 3-phase wye power cords Description Female...
IBM encourages the use of an IBM released power cord because of the specifications that must be met for both the design and manufacture of our IBM power cords. The specifications, the components used in the design, and the manufacturing process is an external safety agency approved process that is audited by safety agencies on a periodic and ongoing basis to ensure quality and compliance with design requirements.
SRM excerpts A cable group associated with a purchased IBM machine, and bearing an IBM label, is the property of the IBM machine owner. All other IBM furnished cable groups (except those for which specific purchase invoices have been paid) are the property of IBM.
