FIG. 1 – PACKAGED ROOFTOP AIR CON DI TION ING UNIT
ECOLOGICAL AND ECONOMICAL DESIGN
• First packaged RTU with 407C optimized design
• Cooling and Heating – Superior op er at ing per-
for mance provides lower operating costs. Smaller
steps of cool ing capacity pro vide tighter con trol of
build ing environment and oc cu pant comfort while
optimizing energy efÞ ciency.
• Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) – Outside air econ o -
miz ers pro vide en er gy sav ings in free cooling mode,
and can pro vide a health i er and more comfortable
build ing en vi ron ment by in tro duc ing fresh outside
air into the build ing as needed. Indoor Air Quality
(IAQ) re quire ments for building ventilation and
com fort are con trolled through the microproces-
sor con trol pan el. Optional airß ow mea sure ment
provides an ac cu rate means of track ing air quality
and alert ing the oc cu pants or building owner to
unhealthy sit u a tions.
• High-Effi ciency Motors – High-efÞ ciency mo-
tors are available for optimum energy efÞ ciency.
All mo tors used on the eco
con di tion er meet U.S. EPACT 1992 min i mum re-
quire ments.

INDOOR AIR QUALITY (IAQ)
• Double-sloped stain less steel drain pan – This
dou ble-sloped in clined stainless steel drain pan fa-
cil i tates re mov al of evaporator condensate. Sloped
in two di rec tions con form ing to ASHRAE 62n, this
drain pan swiftly minimizes any condensate within
the unit. Best of all, the drain pan is accessible for
periodic clean ing required by IAQ standards.
• Smart ventilation – YORK maintains the lead-
er ship role in IAQ prod ucts with adap tive ventila-
tion control. The OptiLogic
con tin u ous mon i tor ing of air qual i ty and take ac tion
by open ing the out side air damp ers, bringing in the
right amount of fresh air before air impurities reach
un com fort able or even dan ger ous levels.
• Air fl ow measurement – Precise measurement
of ventilation airß ow is possible using an airß ow
mea sure ment station which can be installed in the
econ o miz er section. Proper ventilation airß ow is
required to ensure sufÞ cient fresh air is in the build-
ing. A myr i ad of airß ow measurement options are
avail able from minimum airß ow to high-accuracy
