2.8.6.1 RS-232 / RS-422
The GDL 90 provides two bi-directional RS-232 serial interfaces, up to two receive-only RS-232 serial
interfaces, and one bi-directional RS-422 serial interface for making optional connections. The serial
ports can be used for connecting to:

Maintenance PC

In order for a serial port to function correctly, the baud rate of the Rx and Tx channels on
a given port must be the same. This must be considered when assigning serial ports to
interfacing equipment.
The two receive-only serial ports (RxD6 and RxD7) are shared with ARINC 429 Input 1.
If ARINC 429 Input 1 is used, then RxD6 and RxD7 are not available.
