"Writing is not possible. Check condition of
disc. Lens may require cleaning."
This message will appear when the DVD-RAM disc is
not clean. Insert another disc or clean the disc
carefully. The message will also appear when the lens
in the unit is getting dirty. If some content is recorded
on the loaded DVD-RAM disc, after this message
appears, playback may start automatically.
"Do you want to stop recording? YES or NO."
This message will appear when you turn the power off
during data recording.
Choose ''YES" to turn the power off after the finishing
process.
Choose "NO" to continue recording; even while this
message is displayed the current program continues.
"Scheduled recording is about to start. Insert a
recordable disc."
This message will appear when the programmed
recording time is soon and a disc is not inserted, or if
a disc is inserted, and there is not enough remaining
space to record on the disc. Insert a disc with enough
remaining space.
"Data requirements exceed 4.7GB."
This message will appear when the content of
reserved program cannot be recorded on the inserted
DVD-RAM disc.
"Consecutive recording must not exceed 9
hours."
This message will appear when the recording time for
the reserved program exceeds nine hours. Continuous
recording over nine hours is not available.
"An error has occurred while preparing for
timer recording. Timer recording is not
possible."
This message will appear when the process of
recording preparation is not completed because of an
inconvenience, such a power failure.
"Disc is empty."
This message will appear when the CONTENT MENU
is activated and the selected drive has no data, a
DVD-RAM disc is not inserted, or a DVD or a CD is
inserted.

"It is not possible to record additional content
to this disc due to lack of remaining space or
complexity of data."
This message will appear when the disc does not
have enough free space to record or the number of
titles exceeds the disc limit.
"This disc is write protected."
Release the write protection of the cartridge and the
protection setting for the title only if writing is available.
"This disc is not registered. You can add disc to
"Library" via Quick Menu."
This message will appear when an unregistered disc
is inserted in the unit. This message will display until
you complete the operation to register the disc.
Complete "the manual disc registration" of the Quick
Menu from the library screen. If you re-initialize the
HDD, this message will also appear each time an
already registered disc is inserted.
"Some of the management information
previously written on this disc may be modified
in order to add this disc to the library. Video will
not be deleted. Proceed? Yes / No"
To register a DVD-RAM disc processed by a unit other
than this one, especially if the DVD-RAM is processed
by an other manufacturer's unit or PC, the managed
information necessary for this unit will be changed,
although picture and audio data will not be changed.
"An unexpected error occurred."
This message will appear when processing cannot be
completed because of an unexpected error.
"Playback failed. Previously recorded data may
have been corrupted."
This message will appear when pause and playback is
repeatedly operated. This is not a malfunction.
