Using an expansion device

2
Plug the microphone cord into the microphone jack.
3
Turn on the microphone.
The internal microphone is automatically disabled.
Using an expansion device
The expansion port is used to connect your computer to an
expansion device. This is an excellent investment if you are
using your computer both in and out of the office.
When you use an expansion device, external devices such as
an external monitor, external full-size keyboard, and a mouse
remain connected to the expansion device while you are
using your computer away from your desk. When you return
to your desk, you simply reconnect your computer to the
expansion device to gain immediate access to all the external
devices, allowing you to access your network, print reports
from your computer, or use a mouse. Connecting cables for
each of these devices every time you return to the office can
be time-consuming.
For more information, see the accessories information
package that comes with the device or visit

Using an optional Advanced Port Replicator III+ with your
computer
If you purchase an optional Advanced Port Replicator III+
(APR III+) (not shipped with your system), you can connect
this device to your computer's expansion port. In order to
achieve a proper connection, the APR III+ must be properly
aligned with your computer. The correct position is indicated
by symbols ( ) on both your computer and the APR III+.
To properly connect the APR III+ to your computer, see the
Advanced Port Replicator III+ User's Guide or visit
pcsupport.toshiba.com.
