3.4 Removing and installing emblem in ve‐
hicles with adaptive cruise control
3.4.1 Removing
Note
The retaining ring -3- is not fitted in all model versions.
– Remove radiator grille
– Release upper catch on rear of emblem -4-.
– Remove emblem -4- with lower locking lugs -arrow a- out of
retaining ring -3- or radiator grille -1-.
– To remove retaining ring -3-, release both locking hooks
-arrows b- in radiator grille -1-.
3.4.2 Installing
Note
Refer to notes on sensor for adaptive distance control - G550-
-2- before installing emblem ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27 ;
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) .
Vehicles with retaining ring
– Press retaining ring -3- into radiator grille -1- until both locking
hooks engage -arrows b-.
Continued for all vehicles
– Insert emblem -4- with lower locking lugs -arrow b- into cut-
outs in retaining ring -3- or respective cut-outs in radiator grille
-1-.
– Press emblem -2- with upper locking lugs on retaining ring
-3- or into radiator grille -1- until locking lugs engage.
– Install radiator grille
