ACTIVE START/COLD START
To Reduce the TV set power consumption, we have implemented the
Active Start and Cold Start Stand by Modes in ATV Setting Menu.
The details are as below.
a.) Cold Start: - If Cold start mode is selected, then whenever
customer make the TV stand by, then the d2h will also become OFF.
Then after every stand by ON, the d2h will get Re-Boot.
Advantages: - The power consumption of TV will be very less in
stand by condition i.e. less than 0.5W.
Limitations: - Customer can not do channel recording in Stand by
mode. Also, if OTA is triggered and TV is in cold start Stand by mode,
then it can not get the OTA signal.
b.) Active Start: - If Active Start mode is selected, then if the TV is
made stand by, then the d2h is still power ON and working in
background.
Advantages: - Customer can do channel recording in Stand by
mode also.
If OTA is triggered and TV is in cold start Stand by mode, then it can
get the OTA signal even if the TV is in Stand by mode.
