Connecting to a Load or Contactor

The following describes how to connect the K7GE-MG with a load or contactor.
When the Load Is a Single-phase/3-phase Induction Motor (Direct
Connection to Commercial Power Supply)
Install a contactor between the
power line and the motor.
Do not connect any other device
such as a transformer or a filter
between the contactor and the
motor. Doing so may cause
incorrect measurement.
Connect the voltage input of the
Probe Unit of the K7GE-MG to
the secondary output terminal
(motor side) of the contactor.
Make sure that it is not connected
to the primary side (power supply
side). It cannot be measured
correctly and may cause a
hazardous condition.
The figure shows a simplified view of the wiring for status output during measurement, and ALM 1 and
ALM 2 outputs. Use an appropriate relay for relaying in consideration of the switching capacity of the
output transistor. The specifications of the output transistor for the K7GE-MG are 24 VDC (+10%), 50
mA max.
