■Coexistence of line and star topologies
Line and star topologies can be mixed according to the availability of connection described below.
• Up to eight slave stations of authentication Class B can be connected to the transmission path from the master station to
the authentication Class B device of the end.
• When connecting authentication Class B devices, connect them from P1 or P2 of the master station.
• When connecting authentication Class A devices, connect them at the end of an authentication Class B device. In this
case, it can be connected in a star topology by using a general-purpose hub.

• A connection cannot be established if the total cyclic data size of all slave stations on the authentication Class A device side

configured in a ring topology.
