Battery Load Test Recording
Clicking on the Batter Load Test icon (with the Rec button selected) will carry out a battery load test on the
panel and copy the recorded results. Deselecting the Rec button will display the data copied.
This option only shows the last data copied from the panel.
ARC Signalling
This carries out a signal test to the ARC.
Note: The ARC signal test is activated for all programmed communication options on the control panel. i.e. if
Ethernet and Telecoms is used the signal test will attempt to send via both mediums.
The two top boxes are for setting up SIA/Microtech/Contact ID signals. The Set Fault, Setting and
Reset/Cancel are the only triggers which will test for different groups. The Modules/Comms, Elec. Status and
Trouble triggers will only report out of Engineering Mode.
The two bottom boxes are for setting up DTMF signals. Only a selection of the most popular outputs are
given.
Results
Results of the signalling can be obtained automatically, they will take at least 4 minutes to be returned by the
panel.
Telecoms Module: the connection has to be set up as Call Back so the panel will phone back once the
events have gone through to the central station.
Ethernet module: any connection type will work as it stays connected.
The ARC Signalling Results dialog box displays the reporting methods tested together with Groups Affected
and Event(s) Triggered for SIA/Microtech/Contact ID and Output(s) Triggered for DTMF. If there has been a
COMM FAIL or LINE FAIL for a module this will be reported. If no COMM FAIL or LINE FAIL is indicated this
infers that the signal as been successfully transmitted.
The events and outputs displayed depend on the options enabled on the panel for each reporting method. To
make sure the results are correct the communications programming on the panel will have to be checked
(i.e. it should be copied).
