3.5 Checking the Device Operation Status

Purpose
This topic describes how to check the equipment operation status to prevent an exception
and ensure that the equipment is working properly.
Steps
1. Check the equipment temperature.
2. Check the fan status.
3. Check the power supply status.
4. Check the board indicators.
5. Check the CPU usage and the memory usage.
6. Check the interface statuses.
7. Check interface traffic.
Reference Standards
1. Run the show temperature detail command to check the system temperature.
In normal situations, the system temperature should be less than the lowest alarm
threshold.
As shown below, the Minor column shows the lowest alarm threshold, and the Temper
column shows the system temperature.
