■ Automatic tuning
Automatic tuning is effective when station signals are
strong and there is no interference.
Press BAND on the front panel (or remote

control) repeatedly to select the reception
band (FM/AM).
Press TUNING MODE (or remote control) to

select "Auto tune".

When this unit is tuned into a station, the TUNED
indicator lights up and the frequency of the received
station is shown in the front panel display.

■ Manual tuning
If the signal received from the station you want to select is
weak, tune into it manually.
Press BAND on the front panel (or remote

control) repeatedly to select the reception
band (FM/AM).
Press TUNING MODE on the front panel (or

remote control) repeatedly to select "Manual
tune".

frequency.
When this unit is tuned into a station, the TUNED
indicator lights up and the frequency of the received
station is shown in the front panel display.
■ Selecting the FM radio wave reception
mode
If the signal received from the station and the quality of
the sound is not good, set the FM radio wave reception
mode to the monaural tuning mode.
Press FM MODE on the front panel (or remote
control) repeatedly to select the stereo mode or
monaural mode when this unit is tuned into an
FM radio station.
• When this unit is in the stereo tuning mode, the
STEREO indicator lights up in the front panel display.
• When this unit is in the monaural tuning mode, the
STEREO indicator disappears.
Note
Even if this unit is in the stereo tuning mode, the STEREO
indicator does not light up when the currently received program is
monaural.
