CONNECTIONS CAUTION Do not connect this unit or other components to the mains power until all connections are complete. Connecting the AM and FM antennas Both AM and FM indoor antennas are included with this unit. In general, these antennas should provide sufficient signal strength.

CONNECTIONS Connecting the power supply cord ■ Connecting the AC power cord Plug the power cord into an AC wall outlet. ■ Memory back-up The memory back-up circuit prevents the stored data from being lost. However, the stored data will be lost if this unit is turned off for more than one week even when the power cord is connected.
Automatic and manual tuning There are 2 tuning methods; automatic and manual. TUNING Presetting stations ■ Automatically presetting FM stations You can use the automatic preset tuning feature to store FM stations. This function enables this unit to automatically tune into FM stations with strong signals, and to store up to 40 (8 stations in 5 groups, A1 through E8) of those stations in order.

■ Manually presetting stations You can also store up to 40 stations (8 stations x 5 groups) manually. A/B/C/D/E POWER Tune into a station. See page 11 for tuning instructions.
