Electrical safety rules

ATTENTION! When using electrical tools,
the following safety instructions should
be observed to prevent the risk of
electric shock, personal injury and fire. Read and
observe these instructions carefully before using
EN
the tool.
Increased safety can be obtained by having a
qualified electrician install a high sensitivity (30mA)
circuit breaker in the house wiring. If you do not have
such a circuit breaker installed, or you do not wish
to have one installed, then we strongly recommend
that the electric power to your mower be supplied
through a high sensitivity residual current device
(RCD). The RCD is designed to provide a high degree
of personal protection against harmful electric
current should fault conditions occur.
WARNING! The use of an RCD or other
circuit breaker unit does not release the
operator from the safety instructions
and safe working practices given in this manual.
The main voltage must correspond to the one
marked on the technical data plate. Do not use
other sources of power.
The
use
recommended for the power supply line for an
intervention range of 10 to 30 rated mA. Consult a
reliable electrician.
Before inserting the plug in the mains socket,
make sure that the socket ratings are correct and
correspond to those indicated on the rating label on
the appliance.
CAUTION: touching electrified parts may cause
death by electric shock or burn.
Never move the appliance by pulling at the
cables.
Always guide the connection line safely.
Do not use power tools near flammable liquids
or gases.
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains
supply before transporting it to other places.
ATTENTION! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Consider work area environment. Do not expose
of
a
safety
circuit-breaker
power tools to rain. Do not use power tools in
damp or wet locations. Keep work area well lit and
dry. Try to prevent the device from getting wet or
being exposed to humidity. Do not leave it outside
overnight.
The power supply cable should be checked
regularly and before using it , make sure the cable
is not damaged or worn out. If the cable is not in
good condition, do not use the appliance; take it to
an authorized service center instead.
When tool is used outdoors, only use an
extension cable that is suitable for outdoor work
and so marked. Keep it away from the working area,
from damp, wet or oily surfaces and away from heat
and fuels.

Specific safety rules

Wear hearing protection. Extended exposure to
noise can cause hearing loss.
Use suitable search devices to find hidden
supply lines, or contact the local electricity supplier.
Contact with power lines can cause fire or electric
shock. Damaging a gas line can cause an explosion.
Breaking into a water pipe can cause material
damage.
Immediately stop the power tool if it is jammed.
Be prepared for high reaction moments, which
cause recoil. The insertion tool blocks when:—the
power tool is overloaded or—it catches an edge in
the work piece to be processed.
When using the power tool for operations in
which the insertion tool might contact hidden
is
power lines, always hold the power tool by the
insulated grips. In case of contact with a live power
line, a voltage is also applied to the metal parts of
the power tool, and this leads to an electric shock.
During operation, hold the power tool with both
hands, and make sure you have a good foothold. It is
safer to operate the power tool with both hands.
Secure the work piece. A work piece held in place
by a vice is more secure than if you hold it with your
hand.
Keep your workplace clean. Material mixtures
are especially dangerous. Light metal dust can burn
or explode.
Wail till the power tool comes to a complete
standstill before putting it down. The insertion tool
might get caught, thus leading to a loss of control
over the power tool.
Before carrying out any work on the power
tool (e.g. maintenance, tool change etc.) and while
moving or storing the tool, always set the rotation
direction switch in the middle position. Accidentally
activating the On/Off switch can cause injuries.
