Lead Reduction Before Shut Down

If required, complete the following procedure before shutdown to reduce
potential for lead build-up in the combustion chamber, spark plugs, and
engine oil.
The airplane must be stationary before the following procedure is
1. Maintain throttle between 1000 and 1200 RPM until operating tempera-
ture has stabilized.
2. Increase throttle to 1800 RPM for 15 - 20 seconds.
3. Reduce throttle back to between 1000 and 1200 RPM and shut down
immediately using mixture control.
