O n-O ff/V olum e
Turn knob (1) clockw ise to switch
radio on and to increase volum e.
Green control light on the dial will
light up.
Tone
Turn lever (2) clockw ise to increase
treble range and counterclockw ise to
increase bass range.
Front-Rear Speaker Balance
T hisco ntro l is installed w henever the
vehicle is equipped with rear
speakers. Turn rearward to increase
volum e of rear speakers and forw ard
to increase volum e of fro n t speakers.
S tation Tuning
First, select desired band by pressing
one of the AM or FM station buttons
(3), the tune m anually by turning
control knob (4). F o rg ood reception,
accurate m anual tuning is im portant.
To preset stations on pushbutton
tuning radios in either the AM or FM
band, pull station buttons (3),
carefully tune in the desired station,
push button slowly and firm ly all the
way in, then release.
A uto m a tic station tuning (on signal
seeking radios only) is accom plished
by m om entarily depressing the
" A utom atic Tu n in g " bar (6). The tuner
moves from the left tow ards the right
side of the dial and stops whenever a
useable station is found.
O perating the autom atic tuning bar
again causes the tuner to resum e its
search function. W hen the end of the
band is reached, the tuner will
autom atically return to the beginning
of the band and start the search
operation again.
The position of the search sensitivity
switch (5) determ ines w hether the
tuner will stop at many or the most
pow erful stations only.
