(3) Turn switch on AMP card to MAINT position.
(4) Close all doors tightly to enable interlock switches.
(5) Open the access door and Turn on input circuit breaker. All lights and LED's (except OUTPUT
POWER light) should glow.
(6) Push STOP/RESET button. All lights should go off except INPUT POWER, the LED on the AMP
card,
(7) Push START button. Unit should start and OUTPUT POWER light should glow.
(8) If unit works correctly, push STOP button, open front door, and turn switch on AMP card to
NORMAL. Input circuit breaker will trip.
(9) Close all doors and check them to see that they are tightly closed.
(10) Turn on input circuit breaker.
(11) Check optional remote START/STOP buttons and bridge interlock feature (if provided) for proper
operation.

g. Install Output Cable
The AC output terminal panel is located behind the rear door of the unit.
(1) Open the rear door and loosen the cable clamp screws at the cable horn.
(2) Route cable through cable horn and clamp and upward to the terminal board.
NOTE: Conductor size recommended for AC output is 2/0 size (60/90 kVA). Use No. 12 size for control
(E and F terminals).
Large cables (A,B,C,N) should be equipped with terminals suitable for a 3/8" diameter terminal stud.
Mounting hole in the small leads (E and F) should be suitable for 1/4" diameter terminal stud.
(3) Each terminal stud is identified by an identification plate. Each cable should be identified by a
band-type marker. Connect cable lead "A" to terminal marked "A", "B" to terminal "B", etc. Tighten
terminal nuts securely. Connect small plug interlock lead "E" or "F" to terminal "E" or "F".
(4) Tighten clamp screws securely, but avoid damage to cable insulation.
The converter unit is now ready for service. Refer to Section 1-3 for more detailed operating
instructions for the converter.

Before installing output cable, make sure that the disconnect switch which
supplys power to the converter unit is open, and make certain that the converter
input circuit breaker is off.
