Operating states
• On - Normal operation.
• Flashing - The drive is reading or writing data.
• Off - One of the following situations has occurred:
— The storage server has no power.
— The storage subsystem has no power.
— The drive is not properly seated in the storage
server.
— The drive has not spun up.
• Off - Normal operation.
• Flashing - The storage-management software is
locating a drive, logical drive, or storage
subsystem.
• On - The drive has failed, or a user failed the drive.
• On - Normal operation.
• Off - One of the following situations has occurred:
— The storage server has no power.
— The storage subsystem has no power.
— The power supply has failed.
— There is an overtemperature condition.
• Off - Normal operation.
• On - A storage server component has failed
