4. Turn on the main power of the MAV-70XGI.
5. Start up TeraTermPro (version 2.3).
6. The Tera Term New connection display appears. Click "serial" and press the [OK] button.
7. Select the respective boards as listed below from the menu of the MAV-70 using Service/Execute/
Boards/EXT232C.
Type VER in capital letters and press the [Enter] key. Version number of the selected circuit
board is displayed.

. When capacity of a HDD is 73 GB or larger, refer to the CD-ROM supplied with the HDD regarding
the specification of the latest version.
. If the version numbers of the respective circuit boards are earlier than those listed above, the circuit
boards must be upgraded of their versions. Contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center for the
latest versions.
. When any circuit board is upgraded of its version, be sure to re-start the MAV-70XGI.

When capacity of a HDD is 73 GB or larger, refer to the CD-ROM supplied with the HDD for the
procedure how to upgrade the versions to the latest ones.
