WARNING: this section contains technical information concerning the installation of the Rinnai
boiler. The regulation in force and the code of practice must be followed for every aspect
concerning the installation (safety and security, environment protection, etc...). According to all
applicable regulations and requirements, the systems must be designed by qualified
professionals only.
The Mirai series boilers are conceived as wall hung appliances.
The boilers are suitable for domestic use to produce hot water and for water heating below boiling temperature
at atmospheric pressure.
The appliances must be power plugged, gas fuelled and connected to a heating system and a hot water
delivery system suitable for the boiler power and features.
Rinnai gas appliances must be installed by qualified personnel only, according to local regulations, to the law in
force and following the principles of the code of practice.
Installation instructions:
 the boiler can be installed outdoor with no protections against rain, snow, etc. All pipes must be wrapped with
appropriate insulating materials to prevent freezing and the boiler must be powered and gas fuelled; also
ensure that the flue system is properly connected and sealed against infiltrations. The allowed temperature
range are: -20°C÷40°C ;
 always provide a good aeration in the installation room;
 do not install the boiler in any place affected by fire hazard (e.g. garages, etc...), vertically over a gas stove
or in very humid places;
 do not install the boiler near combustible objects, chemical
products or corrosive agents;
 the installation wall must be flat and able to support the boiler
(35-50kg);
 both the boiler support brackets must be fastened with metal
plugs;
 the boiler must be installed on a non-flammable wall – insert a
metal sheet with a minimum thickness of 3mm if the wall is made
of flammable materials;
 the boiler must be easily accessible for maintenance;
 provide for the installation of an appropriate system to collect water from the pressure relief valve and to
collect and drain water under the boiler to prevent material and property damages in case of water leakage;
 the flue system must respect the minimum clearance prescriptions and applicable regulations as described
below:
