Checking
the timer
settings
If you've set the wake-up time1;you ca_ check the
settingsawlime.
Press SYSTEM SETUP.
Press _ or I_ until you see TIMER in the
display.
Press ENTER.
Press the _ or I_ button
until you see
TIMER CHECK in the display.
Press ENTER.
The displayshowsthe timer settings:

Using the
sleep timer
The sleeptimer switchesthe systcm into stm_dbyafter a
specifiedmnount of time so that you can fall asleep
without wowing about the stereobeing ldi on all
night. If you've also set the wake up timer this is
important since llrewake up timer will only work if the
system is in stmldhy.
Press SLEEP (SHIFT & 6) to set the time
until the
system
goes into
standby.
Press r epeatedly t oswitchbetween:
• SLEEP AUTO - this setting is only available when
the syslem is playing a CD*
SLEEP90
(minules)
SLEEP60
(minules)
SLEEP30
(minules)
SLEEP OFF (caucels the sleeptinmr)
The sleeptimer indicaor (_) lights and the display
dims when the sleeptinmr is active.
*This is not availablewhen a \_ideoCDis in PBCmode,
or ifyou're playing a CDor VideoCDin repeat mode. If
you set a disc playing in relXeat mode _ter setting the
sleep timer to SLEEP AUTO,it aulomatically switches
to the 90 minute setting.
Once lhe sleep timer is set, you can check lhe time
leftby pressing SLEEP (SHIFT& 6).
'Ib caucel the sleeptimer;switch the systcminto
staudby,or selectSLEEP OFF (as describedabove).
If you switchto a different sourcewhen sleepauto is
set, the systemwill automatically go into staudhy a
minute later:
