Installing the Rear Wheel
1.
Clean the pinion gear
Important:
Inspect the pinion gear for wear;
replace it if necessary. A worn pinion gear
will cause premature wear on the wheel gear.

Apply anti-seize to the wheel gear teeth

Use the bolt (5/16 x 3/4 inch) to secure the
retainer to the height-of-cut lever

Torque the bolt to 20 to 23 N∙m (15 to 16 ft-lb).
5.
Install the wheel cover, previously removed
spacer, and wheel assembly
6.
Use the previously removed nut to secure the
wheel to the axle bolt
