Locking/Unlocking the Keypad

You can lock your phone's keypad so that any keys
pressed unintentionally while the phone is
switched on have no effect.
The keypad remains locked until you:
Switch your phone off
Unlock the keypad
1 Enter the menu system by

Locking/Unlocking the Phone

You can lock your phone completely.
Example: You want to prevent your phone from
being used if it is stolen.
1 When the phone is in Standby
mode, press or and then
for a few seconds to lock the
phone.
Whenever you try to access
your phone, P h o n e L o c k is
displayed and nothing will
happen.
2 To unlock the phone:
Enter the phone's unlock code
(see page 52)
Press
Result: The Standby mode menu
appears and you can use
your phone normally
again.
