Locking/Unlocking the
Keypad
You can lock the keypad and volume keys to avoid
pressing keys by accident.
To lock the keypad, press and hold the * key in Idle
Mode until the 'Keypad locked' message appears on
the display.
You can also answer incoming calls using any keys,
even if you lock the keypad and volume keys.
When you end the call, your phone returns to the Key
Lock Mode after the period of time specified in the
Auto keylock menu option (Menu 5.5).
To exit the Key Lock Mode, press the Unlock softkey
and then press the * key again. The 'Keypad
unlocked' message appears.
You can also set the phone to automatically lock the
keypad and volume keys in the Auto keylock menu
option (Menu 5.5).
