3.6 To install and connect the microphone

Cars with sunroof
The sunroof motor cover (15) must be ordered separately to match the trim colour (see ETK / MF for
part number).
Remove the cover of the sunroof motor.
Press the microphone cover (11) and microphone (12) into the sunroof motor cover (15) (see directional arrow on
the microphone - the arrow must point to the front of the car). Press the sunroof switch (44) into the sunroof motor
cover (15). Connect up the sunroof switch (44). Connect branch III/2 from the microphone wiring harness to the
microphone (12) near the interior light at the front. Install the sunroof motor cover (15).

Cars without sunroof
Carefully cut out the cut-out (45) in the centre for the microphone cover at a distance a from the interior light (46).
a = 45 mm
b = 127 mm
c = 67 mm
The microphone cover (16) and the trim (17) must be ordered separately to match the trim colour
(see ETK / MF for part number).
Push the support frame (18) through the cut-out (45) under the roof liner (47).
Press the trim (17) into the cut-out (45) and secure it with the support frame (18).
Press the microphone (12) into the microphone cover (16) (see directional arrow on the microphone - the arrow
must point to the front of the car).
Connect branch III/2 to the microphone (12) near the interior light at the front and press the microphone cover (16)
into the trim (17).
