COMPONENT ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES & CHECKS
Warnings
Heater components and surrounding metallic parts can become extremely
hot. A SERIOUS BURN HAZARD EXISTS. Wear PPE to prevent the risk of
scalding.

Adjusting the Seasonal Adjustment Valve

The seasonal adjustment valve is located on the cold water inlet
below the water heater and provides the customer with the option
of reducing the water flow rate through the heater in colder
weather to avoid insufficient heating.
Rotate the valve fully clockwise to set to the winter (partially closed) position.
Rotate the valve fully anticlockwise to set to the summer (fully open) position.

Adjusting the Setpoint Temperature

1. Close all hot taps and ensure the water heater is
not operating.
2. Remove heater front panel (refer to component
replacement procedure 1 on page 50).
3. Set temperature controller DIP switches 7 and 8 to the desired setting as indicated in
the 'Setpoint Temperature Table'. Note: DIP switch up = ON.
4. Replace heater front panel.

DIP Switch Adjustments

Temperature controller DIP switches are factory set and should only require adjusting
when altering the setpoint temperature or checking and adjusting the burner gas pressure
settings.
The following table details DIP switch 1 ~ 6 settings. DIP switches 7 and 8 determine the
heater's setpoint temperature (refer to 'Adjusting the Setpoint Temperature' on page 45).
