Top Middle X Drive Board Removal
Care must be taken as there are different size screws with different thread design
X Board Removal will require the most disassembling of the unit as the Stand will need to be
removed. Refer back to page 19 and everything marked with a
change the X Boards. Start by laying the unit down on a table covered by a soft pad, be careful
not to scratch the screen, and remove the Stand. Two large screws recessed in Lower Chassis
Assembly will need to be removed to get the stand removed.
After the Stand the Lower Chassis Assembly which includes the Main Board will need to be removed.
The Main Board is part of the Lower Chassis and will not need to be separated from the assembly,
to remove the assembly, connectors P4004 ( from P 801A ), P4005 ( from P101B ), P4003 ( from P800B ),
P4007 ( from the Keyboard ), P5002 ( from the Side Input Jacks ), P7009 and 7010 ( Speakers ),
P6007 ( Y SUS Fan ) and P6009 ( Main Fan ), and last the LVDS Cable ( care must be taken as the
LVDS Cable is very fragile ), will need to be removed. Remove the 9 screws securing the
Lower Chassis Assembly and the AC Input Grounding Screw disconnect P801 ( AC Input )
from the AC/DC Supply Board and lift the Assembly clear place it in a secure location.
Remove the 6 screws ( ea ) securing both Wall Mounting Support Brackets and set them aside. Remove
the 4 mounting screws for the Cooling Fan disconnect the connector and set it aside. Access is now
available to remove the screws from the brackets that hold the TCP IC's and Ribbons in place.
Remove the brackets, being careful not to damage the Ribbon Cables, last remove the Ribbon Cables
and screws from the X Board to be replaced.
