Fldigi Receive Input Level

The receive audio input level to Fldigi is entirely controlled by Windows once to 'course' level has been
set In the TS-990S USB RX Output menu. Fldigi has an input level indicator (the little diamond icon) in
the lower right portion of the main Fldigi screen. Using the default colors scheme setting in Fldigi, this
icon should remain
GREEN
all of the time. Some excursions into the
YELLOW
zone are unavoidable due
to the varying effects of RX signal strength, AGC action, and band conditions. Flashes of
RED
indicate
that the audio level is consistently too high. Fldigi also provides an easy to use audio level indication to
aid in this adjustment. These two methods work with each other.
This is the 'diamond' Icon:

This is your 'rough' idea of how the audio level is adjusted. The much finer level display is to use the
'WAV' display. You can get to this display by clicking the 'WF' (wave form) button in the lower left corner
of the Fldigi main window.
