Solving Problems

This section explains how to remove jammed paper and
solve problems such as incorrect printouts or paper not
feeding.

Removing Jammed Paper

Check the error displayed on the control panel and
follow the instructions to remove the jammed paper
including any torn pieces. Next, clear the error.

Caution:
Never touch the buttons on the control panel while
your hand is inside the printer. If the printer starts
operating, it could cause an injury. Be careful not to
touch the protruding parts to avoid injury.

Important:
❏ Remove the jammed paper carefully.
Removing the paper vigorously may cause
damage to the printer.
❏ Do not touch the translucent part inside the
printer or the white flat cable next to the ink
cartridge holder. Doing so may cause a
malfunction.

Remove the jammed paper carefully.
Solving Problems

If you cannot remove the paper, pull it out
carefully from the front.
C
If you still cannot remove the paper, open the
inner cover to remove it.
D
Check that there is no paper remaining in the
printer, and then close the inner cover.
Follow the on-screen instructions to print.
