The valet push button switch (buill-in to Lhe status

indicator) is used for turning the valet mode on

and 011 The valet mode prevents the security
system from arming, yet, allows the convenience
functions (door lock/unlock and trUltk release) to operate normally.
Valet l1lode is useful when valet parking, refueling or servicing your
vehicle.
• To use the valet mode. disarm the securiry system anu press the
valet push button switch for one second. The status indicator
will begin blillking in a quick double flash pattern. The security
system i. now in the vakt mode.
• To re-entcr tllc security system's normal operating mode. press
the valet push button switch for one second. The status
indicator will turn off. The security system has now retw'[led to
normal operating Illode.
EMERGENCY OVERRIDE BUnON
The emergency override button is a hidden pUsh button
tbat can be used
to
disarm thc security 'ystcll1
if
your
remote control transmitter is lost or stolen.
To prevent unauthorized use, the ignition key is needed
to disarm the seellriry systcm when u"ing the emergency
override burton,
Disarming System Without The Remote Control Transmitter
You may encounter a situation when yOllnced to disarm the security
svstem without the remote cOlltrol transmitter. This may happen
bOeeause the transmitter batlery is weak or the transmitter is missing.
If this happens, follow these steps:
Enter vehicle (alarm will begin sOllnding as soon as
the door is opened).
Turn the ignition key to lhe
Oil
position,
Press the emergency override button,
Security system is now disarmed.
NOTE: If the vehicle """ill not start after disarming Lhe security
system. press and hold the emergency override burton in while
turning the ignition key to the crank position. This will bypass the
starter interrupt and allow the car to start. If this hould happen see
